While I disagree with your analysis--the "chosen one" trope is used so often because it works, and Harry struggles with his mantle as he bravely rises to it -- you did a fantastic job at articulating your perspective. There's a reason why Harry's journey made Rowling so wildly successful, and why, despite future dissection of both the author & her characters, the stories still resonate with so many of us.
