This is great, CR! My parents seem amenable whenever one or both land in the hospital--they even bring it up, but within two weeks, it's not a subject they want any of us to broach. My mom can no longer make it up the stairs and sleeps in a hospital bed in the family room💔😞, but they still haven't taken any steps to downsize or move. They've lived in that house for over 40 years, though, so I'm taking your "be kind" to heart.
