This is a fantastic piece, Ben! I agree with you on all counts. US is far more terrifying and bizarre and uncomfortable than GET OUT and manages to convey similar messages but in a far more profound way. After I saw it in the theater, my friend and I would jokingly talk to each other in "tethered voices" & I totally scared myself 😂
