The weird, arbitrarily abrupt based on a minimal conflict were always the ones that hurt the most, but I definitely have let those go...it's indicative (to me) of a friendship that ran its course and while I may never know exactly why, it's a waste to wonder or feel terrible about it. I've also has strong friendships that grow deeper as both of us want to work through the conflict rather than avoid it.
