…e is that we have become spoiled by the site, and many of us have developed a sense of entitlement. Where else can you write whatever the hell you want, hit “publish,” and have immediate access to a huge worldwide audience? It wasn’t that long ago that if you wanted to write about the state of American politics, you had to get a journalism degree, work for years at some small-town newspaper covering county fairs and writing obituaries, and pray that someday the New York Times would call. Today, we’re all “experts.”
