I'm so glad I saw this on Twitter in 2022, as I missed its og publication. I think, worse than form rejections for me, are those rejection letters that sing specific praise about aspects of your work, then tell you they have to pass, but give no insight into why. So maddening--especially when you're 6 months into the process. Great piece, David!
