I don’t think he’s bragging, he’s more joke-bragging. And while you may not enjoy his work, a staggering number of us do. He can’t write like Sean Kernan because that’s Sean’s niche. Hogan is 100%, authentically Hogan. Perhaps you should check out some of his personal essays — I think you’ll find a great, unique voice & a deep heart behind his words. And if his stuff isn’t for you, that’s fine. Move along. Sh*tty comments about why you dislike a writer only reflect poorly on you, not on said writer. But even if he stirs you enough to compel you to write a slam comment, he’s doing well — a good writer evokes emotion, negative or positive
