I completely agree, Ben. I try either to ignore or challenge with kindness. There have been moments when I've mic dropped, and instantly feel terrible about it. I did have to block someone who sought me out to tell me I'm a garbage writer because I believe in God, but tried to go the truthful yet kind engagement route first. Anyone who attacks a stranger on social media is reacting to open wounds in their own lives--our guts tell us to counterattack, but truly, that level of misery needs kindness or nothing at all
