Hey James! Absolutely. I hate concentrating on “keywords" when I’m writing anything other than copy/ content for businesses as it feels forced and stilted. But basically, it’s typically two-three words/ a short phrase highlighting the story & appears in the SEO description as well.

For instance, I had to write a content piece for a local remodeling firm (exciting, I know. Don’t hate the player, hate the game😆)-- they wanted web traffic for kitchen remodels & backsplash ideas. “your kitchen remodel” became my keywords. The phrase should appear in the introductory sentence, the first paragraph, and three more times after. I really hate trying to incorporate it into creative writing, personal essays, etc. because I feel my writing suffers by forcing its appearance.
