Great piece, Sean. My last best friend helped me to recognize how exhausting "one best friend" can become. I definitely classify my friendships by shared interests now, too: My trail running friends, My kayaking friends, My writing friends, My college friends, My film friends, etc. I love them all, but am grateful none of them are "best."
