For the most part, I really like Pope Francis (my humble brag is that when my little brother was newly ordained & the chaplain at George Mason University & University of Maryland, College Park, he was in the televised ceremony welcoming the then new Pope to DC, got to meet him, & made the front page of the Washington Post🕺. He said he was gracious & kind.) On the outside looking in on this, I understand why it would be upsetting to not have a caring diocese leader in place. Interesting piece!
