Excellent insight, Akos. And, it’s tough to know what I’d do with Spacey. I don’t think he’ll ever mount a real comeback. But, as a former industry peon, I can say his scumbag, abusive nature was a rumor for years before the charges were launched. I knew about them when I watched & enjoyed his early 00s films. He’s a damned good actor. But I don’t think I could support any new films he puts out. Even when I go back and rewatch The Usual Suspects or American Beauty, I see him in such a different light. I’m a firm believer in separating the art from the artist--but only to a certain extent. I’d never own a John Wayne Gacy painting, for example (also, they’re garbage, but you get what I’m saying). Hollywood is certainly rife with hypocrisy and this is true for people in general too.
