Every single word here resonates with me about my ex. Thankfully, we never made it to marriage, but he ripped my heart out. It took me almost 2 years (only a few months ago) to recognize I dodged a huge bullet. I haven't even spoken to him in 1.5 years, but he still badmouths me to anyone who will listen/ spews major lies. I no longer care nor feel the need to rationalize his actions.
