EP, this is so wonderful and beautifully written. Thanks for sharing it❤️. I actually also idolized my dad--all of my siblings did. And although he has softened & done so much healing to become the most amazing version of himself, through most of my childhood years (especially the double digit years), he was kind of an asshole, too.
