As someone with bartending and serving in my background, I hate Door Dash with a deep passion. They also charge a fee to small restaurants and bars that agree to a link on the DD web site. Even if said restaurant doesn’t use DD. Especially in the midst of pandemic shutdowns, I’ve had owner friends repeatedly complain about DD drivers who show up for a to-go order even if their establishments don’t use the service. DD takes money from servers & bartenders (“waitresses” work at truck-stops & diners😉. It’s “servers"), and from the establishments themselves. Great article as always, Sean!
