After a long & storied existence as a bartender, I couldn't do it anymore. Those first few years were great, but the last three or so, I hated every minute of it. I worked at a tip share place for three months--one night, I made $748 & walked with $150. I was out after that. I think the draw for me was always that I was responsible for the $ I made, and my hard work & relationship with the guests is what earned me top dollar. Your "bartner" won't last/ will end up getting fired.
