1. If you join, you'll receive 4x as much for any interaction you receive on your piece from MPP members (so yes, if Tim upgraded, hewould receive more than he does now for your highlights, comments, claps, etc) 2. You'll now receive $ for external views (ie. Anyone who reads your piece in Google News Feed, Flipboard, via a social media share from a friend, etc). If you've ever had a piece that stats showed had a ton of reads, but you didn't make any $, this was probably due to external reads that haven't paid until now. 3. Via the Friend Link, you'll be able to share your stories w/ non-members (for awhile, nonmembers received 3 free reads per month. Now, every MPP piece is behind a paywall. This would bypass that of you wanted, for example, to share a story on social media. 4. The first 500 people to sign up (I assume they've already surpassed this number) receive a Medium tote bag.
